Prayer Tuesday:

On this military journey we have often experienced sudden changes in our lives. CHANGE is always a given on this adventure.

Whether it’s a new duty station, a new baby, another deployment or a broken down car; sometimes we feel like things are so overwhelming and impossible.

Many times in prayer we find it difficult to leave our needs with God.  Instead, we pick them right back up and commence to worrying.

Will I make new friends and find a new church home? Will I be able to provide for this new baby?  Will we find the right home for our growing family? Will my loved one be okay during this deployment?  Will I FINALLY, one day, have a vehicle that is actually reliable?

So many things, so many legitimate needs, and sometimes they converge on us…all at once!

God wants us to remember that He is our Provider. We can go to Him in our times of need and trust that He will answer.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7,8, NASB)

It may not always be the exact way we would have wanted the prayer answered. But, the way He chooses to answer us is always perfect.

Do you know God as your Provider?

Jireh

Do you trust Him and are you willing to wait for His answer?

What are you in need of today? What are you trusting God to provide for you or your loved ones?

As God’s children, He desires us to come to Him.

“…for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” (Matthew 6:8b, NASB)

Rest knowing that He hears you, because He already knows what you are in need of.  Trust, and wait on Him.
