Kayla was born and raised in a musical family. From her local church to touring with a nonprofit, Kayla has worked in multiple venues over the years. As an Army wife, Kayla has had the opportunity to serve in local Chapels, PWOC’s, and various retreats and conferences. She carries a passion in ministering to military wives through worship and original music, while still staying involved in her local church. Kayla is the Worship Coordinator at Planting Roots and leads with a passion to lead military women around the world in worship.
As a Retired Army Officer, Suzanne is particularly passionate about serving and building up military women and spouses. Currently stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and married to a Retired Army Officer, she is actively involved in various Chapel ministries and faithfully brings her passion for worship (with multiple instruments and harmony vocals) to the Throne. Suzanne has served with Planting Roots since the launch of the ministry and has continued to bless hundreds of women with her gifts.
April has been an Air Force and USANG wife since 2003. With a heart for service, April has served in many capacities from religious education planning in military chapels to serving on worship teams. She is passionate about loving people exactly where they are and pointing them to Jesus. April serves as a vocalist for the Planting Roots Worship Team, but also as the Worship Team Administrative Assistant. She is invaluable in both roles!
Nicole is an Army brat. Having been around the military all her life, she currently worships and serves at the Woodlawn Chapel at Fort Belvoir. With extensive experience as a keyboardist as well as her experience in playing both the alto saxophone and french horn, Nicole brings much musical talent to the table. With a heart for ministry and worship, God has used her in so many ways. We are blessed that he has chosen to use her here.
As the newest member of the Planting Roots Worship Team, Jenn has vast experience in both vocals and keyboard. She also has some extensive knowledge in editing, writing, and leadership – all skills she uses here at Planting Roots. As an Army Chaplain’s wife, she has had the opportunity to serve in multiple capacities over the years and continues to find ways to do that in their life as a retired military family. She is excited about leading worship at her first Planting Roots event!
